Welcome to My Academic Portfolio

I’m a computer graphics artist with nearly three decades of experience in animation and visual effects, having graduated from Sheridan College’s Classical and Computer Animation programs. As a professor and program lead of Sheridan’s Computer Animation program, I guide 40-60 students annually, helping them develop the skills and mindset to thrive in the industry. My approach integrates diverse perspectives, emerging technologies, and decolonization principles to create an inclusive and future-focused learning environment.

Research

Research has been a pivotal part of my career, allowing me to bridge the past with the present through digital media. My projects focus on reconstructing historical sites and cultural practices, using technology to reconnect with lost knowledge and inspire societal change. From the virtual reconstruction of the Temple of Amun at El-Hibeh to the innovative Longhouse projects, my research aims to create educational experiences that honour and preserve historical narratives.

Courses

My courses are designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive learning experience. I have developed and taught a range of courses in digital media, including Animation Design, Directed Projects, Asset Creation, and Digital Creature Methodology. Each course is meticulously structured to integrate practical and theoretical aspects, ensuring students are well-prepared to excel in the animation industry.
